Neuwirth and Ashford CPAs provides trusted tax, accounting, and advisory services for individuals and businesses across Arizona. The firm was founded in 2011 by Shayne R. Neuwirth, CPA and has grown into a respected practice that supports more than 2,000 clients each year.

Meet The Team
Shayne R. Neuwirth
CPA, Managing Partner
Shayne R. Neuwirth is the Founder and Managing Partner of Neuwirth and Ashford CPAs, PLLC, a Scottsdale based accounting firm serving approximately 1,800 clients across Arizona and beyond. She founded the firm in 2011 with a focus on high touch tax planning, clear communication, and practical advice for business owners and high income individuals. Under Shayne’s leadership, the firm has grown into a multi CPA practice offering tax preparation, accounting, and strategic consulting for individuals, closely held businesses, and professional service firms. Shayne is known for translating complex tax issues into clear, actionable guidance and for building long term client relationships grounded in trust and responsiveness. Shayne lives in Scottsdale with her family and values efficiency, clarity, and balance, both in business and in life.
Joanna grew up in a small town in Illinois before relocating to Arizona to escape the cold and attend Arizona State University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and later pursued a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management, graduating in 2013. Joanna obtained her CPA license in 2015 while working as a staff accountant at Henry and Horne.
Joanna joined Neuwirth and Ashford CPAs, PLLC in June of 2018 and has been a key contributor to the firm’s growth and leadership. In 2024, she became a Partner of the firm. As Partner and Tax Director, she specializes in business and individual tax returns, payroll compliance, and LLC formation. She is known for her strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high quality, client focused service while continuing to deepen her knowledge in the tax field. Joanna values building long term relationships with clients and takes pride in ensuring they feel informed, supported, and confident in their tax and accounting decisions. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, attending baseball games, baking, escape rooms, and watching movies.
Joanna M. Ashford, MAFM
CPA, Partner and Tax Director
Trisha moved to Arizona in 2018 from Illinois. She has an Associate of Science Degree from Rockford Career College of Illinois, in 2017. In her free time, Trisha enjoys bonfires, reading, puzzles, and exploring Arizona with her husband, Mike. She loves dogs and hopes to adopt one someday. Being from the Midwest, a good rainstorm makes her happy. Trisha has been in the Customer Service Industry for over 12 years and loves meeting new people. She looks forward to meeting you soon!"
Trisha Torrance
Office Manager
Sarah is a native to Arizona, she has known Shayne for over 10 years and has 19 years of bookkeeping experience. Sarah is married with 2 daughters aged 6 and 7, the eldest was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome at 10 months of age. Due to her daughters’ significant needs, Sarah works part-time so that she can be with her girls after school. Sarah plans to attend ASU in the fall to finish her business degree and pursue her CPA. When she is not busy being a mom, student and bookkeeper she enjoys volunteering for The Angelman Syndrome Foundation; meeting recently diagnosed families, organizing the yearly fundraising walk, and spreading awareness for this rare disease.
Sarah Ferrell
Sr. Staff Accountant
Jordan grew up and has family in both Illinois and Washington state and moved to Arizona in 2021 and started working at Shayne's office in late 2022. She has her degree in Leadership from Southeastern University and has been working in the administration and customer service field for over eight years. In her free time, she likes spending time with her husband exploring new places around the Phoenix area as well as staying active at the gym or outside.
Jordan Prechel
Executive Assistant & Tax Preparer
Kim joined Neuwirth & Ashford CPAs, PLLC in July 2022 and serves as our Accounting Manager. She holds an MBA in Accountancy and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, bringing both technical knowledge and operational experience to the firm.
Kim works closely with business owners across a wide range of industries, from early stage startups to established companies with multimillion dollar annual revenue. She is known for her attention to detail, consistency, and ability to explain accounting and payroll matters in a clear and practical way. Outside of the office, Kim enjoys weekend trips to Northern Arizona, spending time with family, and relaxing with movies, concerts, and classic arcade games.
